One of the most powerful and shocking forms of evidence that the Bible is true is prophecy. The Bible proves itself – event after event that was prophesied in the past has come to pass exactly as it was foretold, down to the tiniest detail.
The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as documented in both the Bible and in commonly accepted historical documents, fulfilled more than 300 Bible prophecies exactly as written! What’s more – the mathematical probability of one random man fulfilling just eight of those prophecies is one in ONE HUNDRED QUADRILLION (100,000,000,000,000,000).
The Bible prophesied the rise and fall of nations throughout history in advance, long before these nations existed. It also mentioned kings and generals who would aid in these conquests – even mentioning some of them by name – hundreds of years before they were born.
Every prophecy from the past has come true exactly as foretold. The Bible is reliable! There are comparatively few prophecies left to fulfill before Jesus returns, and they are all starting to happen before our eyes. This could not happen if it were imagined and written by mere men – prophecy proves to us that the Bible is inspired by God Himself, who knew these things were going to happen hundreds and thousands of years before they happened.
Cross References of the Bible:
One of the many ways we can know that the Bible can be trusted is that it was written by 40 different authors (most of whom did not know each other) over the course of around 1,600 years, and yet it is consistent with itself, agrees with itself, and refers to itself 63,779 times! This infographic by Chris Harrison illustrates the amazingly intricate connections of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and he explains it this way:
The bar graph that runs along the bottom represents all of the chapters in the Bible, starting with Genesis 1 on the left. Books alternate in color between light and dark gray, with the first book of the Old and New Testaments in white. The length of each bar denotes the number of verses in that chapter (for instance, the longest bar is the longest chapter in the Bible, Psalm 119). Each of the 63,779 cross references found in the Bible are depicted by a single arc – the color corresponds to the distance between the two chapters, creating a rainbow-like effect.

Can The Bible Be Trusted?

If you’re asking this question, you’re not the only one. God knew we would question– so He gave proof for those who would listen.
Kingdoms in Time is a documentary on the prophecies of the Bible that have happened in real life exactly as the Bible said they would, hundreds (or even thousands) of years after it was written, proving the Bible is not just a collection of made-up stories…it’s actually true!
